I am a freelance musician and web developer in Chicago. Most recently I can be heard playing trumpet at my friends’ weddings, playing organ at Mass in Chicago, or singing with my band called Clark Foster. I began playing trumpet at the age of 10 years old. In high school and college I studied music and performed in Chicago and Los Angeles. Having served as principal trumpet of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, I gained a deep love for classical music and dedication to learning orchestral trumpet. My passion for playing trumpet took me to Italy, where I toured with the John Hersey High School band as a featured soloist. The trumpet teachers and music educators who had the most significant impact on my learning were Bryan Majure, Chris O’Hara, Boyde Hood, and Scott Casagrande. - Military Experience
I am a Military Intelligence Non-Commissioned Officer, E-6. I have served 8 years in the United States Army Reserves. In 2019, I deployed to the Kingdom of Jordan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and am a Veteran. I currently serve at my unit based in the south suburbs of Chicago. I contribute to the mission of the 88th Readiness Divisions Casualty Operations by performing Live Taps on Bugle to honor our nation’s Veterans at Military Funeral Honors Services. I am a Certified Combat Lifesaver.
